J. Cody Walker is a native of Joaquin, Texas, where he graduated from Joaquin High School. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service with a degree in mortuary science. Cody now resides in Bedford, Texas. He is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and brings many things to his position at the Funeral Home. Cody began with Forest Ridge Funeral Home in 2002 and purchased ownership in 2007. He looks forward to serving the families of the area for many years to come. Many families comment on his quiet strength and supportive nature. He is dedicated to each and every family and ensures that all of their needs are considered and met. Cody also believes in community efforts. He is a member of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Chamber of Commerce and has completed the HEB Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class and currently serves as chairman of the Leadership HEB steering committee. Cody is a member of the Hurst Masonic Lodge, President of the Mid-Cities Optimist Club and a proud member of Friendship Baptist Church. Cody devotes additional time to the community as a T.E.A.M.S. volunteer at L.D. Bell High School and serves as Commander of the Sons of the American Legion in Bedford. He also serves on the Advisory board of Santa U.S.A., a charitable organization which brings hope and joy to the elderly, orphans, and to children with terminal illness and their families at a time of the year when it is much needed. Michael Land is a native of Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated from Southwest High School. Michael attended Tarrant County College and graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has served in the funeral profession for over 36 years. Michael strongly believes that as funeral service providers we must be responsive to our families and community needs. Michael is a member of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Chamber of Commerce and has served as chair of the Leadership Alumni Committee for the chamber. Michael is President-Elect of the Texas Funeral Directors Association where he currently chairs the Legislative Committee and serves on the Budget and Building Committees. Michael is also the Immediate Past President for the North Texas Funeral Directors Association. Michael currently is active in the Hurst Masonic Lodge, Tabernacle Masonic Lodge. He also serves on the Advisory board of Santa U.S.A., a charitable organization which brings hope and joy to the elderly, orphans, and to children with terminal illness and their families at a time of the year when it is needed. He has served as a board member of the Mid-Cities Optimist Club. Michael and his wife, Suzanne, belong to University Baptist Church.
